Danny Darress is a 24 year-old piano player and singer based in Manhattan, NY. Celebrated for his innovative compositions and captivating performances, he is a positive force to the music industry and a rising star in the songwriting world. A proud graduate of the Berklee College of Music (B.A. Performance 2022), Danny was able to hone his craft in piano performance, blending classical training with a deep passion for jazz and R&B. Working with faculty like Joanne Brackeen, Kenny Werner, Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Mike Tucker, and Kevin Harris, made his time in Boston very worthwhile. Danny was also very lucky to work with Harry Connick Jr. and Billy Childs during his time there.
Throughout his career, Danny has toured the world, collaborating with a diverse array of artists and enriching the global music scene. As a leader of his original comedy pop band, “Chess Club”, he has made waves across the country, performing with notable musicians like Isaiah Sharkey, Mark Letteri, and Felix Pastorious. Danny is also a frequent member of the band “Jazz Is Phsh” led by Adam Chase. With this band he has had the opportunity to travel the country playing all types of different music venues and festivals. Known for his infectious energy and intricate arrangements, Danny is quickly gaining recognition in the touring scene.
Besides all of the music Danny has performed to further himself as an artist, he has also done a fair share of music directing, accompaniment and wedding gigs. Throughout New York, Danny is known for showcasing his solo talent in restaurants and lounges, captivating diners with a dynamic repertoire that spans classics to contemporary hits.
